LanEcho Overview
LanEcho is a secure AI smart recording card from Lansenger. It works in two parts: the LanEcho recording card hardware and the “LanEcho” feature in the Lansenger app. The card captures high-quality audio anytime, anywhere, while the “LanEcho” feature handles syncing, transcription, and summary generation. Simply press and hold the record button on the device to start recording. Once recordings sync to your phone, AI automatically converts speech to text, separates speakers, and generates a Smart Summary — all within the Lansenger ecosystem, so your data never leaves your organization.
This article covers LanEcho’s positioning, core capabilities, use cases, and prerequisites, so you can quickly see where it fits into your work.
Product Components
- LanEcho recording card: a bank-card-sized recorder with a screen-free design. A single record button handles every operation, with vibration and indicator light feedback. Recordings are stored locally on the device, and the card attaches magnetically to the back of your phone so it’s always with you.
- The “LanEcho” feature in Lansenger: a built-in feature in the Lansenger app’s Workplace, and your single entry point for managing the card and its recordings — device binding and management, recording sync and upload, Transcript, Smart Summary, sharing, and export.
Recording happens entirely on the device, with no phone or network required. When you’re ready to work with the content, connect your phone, sync the recordings over, and let cloud AI do the rest.
Core Capabilities
- One-touch recording, fully screen-free: press and hold the record button for 1.5 seconds to start, and again to stop. While recording, short-press to mark key moments. No screen to watch, no intent given away — it works from your pocket.
- Dual-channel sync over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi: recordings sync to your phone automatically over Bluetooth. When many files are waiting, turn on Flash Transfer — your phone temporarily connects to the device’s Wi-Fi hotspot for direct transfer, syncing 10x faster.
- Speech-to-text Transcript: once uploaded to the cloud, recordings are transcribed by an AI speech model, automatically segmented by speaker with a timestamp on every paragraph. Tap any text while listening to play from that exact position.
- AI Smart Summary and Chapters: generate a structured Smart Summary from the Transcript with one tap, choosing from 8 built-in templates — Meeting Minutes, Keynote Speech, Daily Communication, Study & Lecture Notes, Personal Affairs, Client Interview, Interview Report, and Visit & Tour. Chapters are created automatically as the summary is generated, so even long recordings are easy to navigate.
- Security and private deployment: recording never touches any external network. The device is bound to your Lansenger account, with no audio playback port and no USB port. Transcription and summary models can run 100% in your organization’s private cloud, meeting the information security and compliance requirements of governments and enterprises.
Five Steps from Recording to Result
A complete LanEcho workflow looks like this. Except for step 1, everything happens automatically:
- Record: long-press the record button on the device, or start recording from the Remote in “My Device”. The recording is saved on the device.
- Sync: once the device connects to your phone, recording files sync automatically from the device to your phone. Use Flash Transfer to speed things up when there are many files.
- Upload: recordings synced to your phone upload automatically to your organization’s cloud. Once uploaded, the recording appears when you sign in on other devices too.
- Transcribe: on the recording details page, tap “Generate Transcript”. Cloud AI converts speech to text and separates the speakers.
- Summarize and share: generate a Smart Summary and Chapters from the Transcript, then share them with colleagues or export them as files for archiving.
Use Cases
- Formal meetings: capture multi-person meetings end to end, with speakers separated automatically. Meeting minutes and action items are ready within minutes of the meeting.
- Client interviews and business communication: keep a complete record of every interview, with each requirement and piece of feedback traceable — no more mismatched recollections after the fact.
- Study, lectures, and training: turn courses and training sessions into Transcripts and note-style summaries, and revisit key points by chapter when reviewing.
- Interviews and recruiting: keep a structured record of the Q&A process and generate interview reports, so every evaluation is evidence-based.
- Mobile calls and field inspections: the card snaps magnetically onto the back of your phone, so calls and on-site conversations are captured on the spot — no quick decision goes unrecorded.
- Discipline interviews and audit conversations: keep a complete, sentence-by-sentence record with speakers strictly separated. LanEcho’s screen-free design never reveals intent, and recording can run entirely in your organization’s private cloud, meeting the information security and compliance requirements of discipline inspection. Ideal for disciplinary interviews, audit conversations, and compliance investigations that demand a high level of confidentiality.
- Site surveys and incident investigation: the card snaps onto the back of your phone so you carry it anywhere, recording on the spot outdoors. At incident scenes, engineering surveys, and safety checks, offline recording works without a network — after the fact, sync and generate a Transcript and Smart Summary so no key detail is missed.
- Government receptions and research forums: leadership receptions and grassroots research forums involve many speakers and frequent topic switches. Chapters are divided automatically by topic, so you can quickly locate discussion content from each stage after the meeting. Ideal for government receptions, research forums, and site visits with multiple agenda items.
Before You Start
Make sure all three of the following are in place:
- The latest Lansenger app is installed: find and open the “LanEcho” feature in “Workplace”.
- You have a LanEcho recording card: LanEcho works with the recording card, and the device must be bound before recordings can sync.
- Your organization has activated LanEcho: LanEcho is an organization-licensed feature, and the licensing mode and available quotas are managed centrally by your organization. If the app says the feature is not activated, or you see a “no available quota” message while using it, contact your organization administrator to confirm your licensing status.
Tip: whenever you see a message like “Please contact your organization administrator”, the feature is limited by organization licensing or quota and can only be adjusted by the administrator in the management console — there’s nothing else you need to do in the app.
